How To Upgrade Tecno L9 Plus To Android 7.0 Nougat

Android Nougat 7.0 is currently hitting Tecno L9 Plus. As usual, the update is arriving via OTA (Over-The-Air), and comes with cool features and system enhancement.

The Tecno L9 Plus was launched early 2017 with awesome specifications and features. In fact, it's the first series of smartphone launched by the company this year after its predecessor Tecno L8.

The update is being rolled out to all Tecno L9 Plus users. If you use one, you should receive an OTA notification of Android Nougat update. The update weighs in at about 735MB. After upgrading, you will be presented with a new classic interface and exclusive features that will definitely make you smile.

>> After that, tap on "Install"
>> Your phone will be rebooted.

Checkout: Tecno Phantom 6 Plus Will be Getting Android 7 Nougat Upgrade 4th of August

This upgrade has been long awaited, anticipated and finally, the hope of receiving Nougat updates on Tecno devices is gradually being revived. It is really disturbing to see some of my colleague struggling with
Android 5.1 Lollipop on their Tecno devices even though they are willing to upgrade to the latest Android OS but the upgrade seems not to be coming.

                          

But there is light at the end of the tunnel… Tecno Phantom 6 Plus will be getting Android 7 nougat  OTA update come 4^th of August 2017. Atleast if Phantom 6 Plus can get OTA updates, other Tecno devices should get theirs at a later date.

Infinix Users:Android 7.0 Nougat beta 2 Available for Infinix Hot 4 X557

Android 7 nougat update beta 2 has been made available for Infinix Hot 4 and beginning from June, OTA update will be rolled out to all Hot 4 users.so be expectant.

I am quite sure some of you guys won't be able to wait till when OTA will be roll out,hence the need to download the beta 2 update. This second beta update fixes some of the bug noticed in beta 1, some users have already installed it and reported the following bugs

•Battery Optimization:Battery drains faster than imaginable.

•Long period of warm booting  after turn off like two mins

•Unresponsive autobrightness:it doesn't work even after you left a dark place to a bright place.

•Poor sound delivery by Mic and Speakers.

•No option in notification bar to set phone to sound, vibrate or silent.

Update Techno H6 To Lollipop Using Custom ROM. See How

Tecno H6 is one of the Android smartphone that runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and can never be upgraded to 5.1 Lollipop through OTA update but only by installing a custom ROM.

So, that's why I decided to publish this article for those trying to upgrade their Tecno H6 version particularly, through installation of custom ROM method. Read on

Steps to Upgrade Tecno H6 To Android 5.0.1 Lollipop

Before you proceed, make sure your phone battery is fully charged and also make sure you root your phone and back up your original ROM and also back up your IMEI using mobile uncle. This ROM is only for Techno H6 and do not flash it on other devices.


Step#1:you have to Install custom recovery which will be Clockworkmod in order backup your original ROM, see guide here and also download Tecno H6 custom ROM by clicking here.

Step#2:After successful download, copy the downloaded files into the root of your SD card or phone memory and boot into recovery mode (Power off your phone and then Press Power Button + Volume Up Button until the recovery).

Step#3:Now, wipe data, dalvik cache and cache partition and in the recovery, tap on Install zip from SD card and select the ROM to flash.

Step#4:Wait until flashing is completed and reboot your device to welcome you with new interface.

There is no risk in this, if only you backup your ROM and install the custom ROM for Tecno H6 device only.  Yea! So that's how to upgrade your Tecno H6 to 5.1 Lollipop.
