REQUIREMENTS

• DOWNLOAD: Tecno Camon CX TWRP OR Tecno Camon CX By Philz  (You can download one of the two custom recovery to recover back your files after rooting).
• DOWNLOAD: SuperSU 2.76.zip
• Setup ADB and Fastboot on the PC using the guide via Here.
• Extract and copy the TWRP / Philz recovery.img into the same folder as the fastboot.exe and adb.exe.
• Then, unlock your bootloader Tecno Camon CX - See Guide Here.

HOW TO ROOT TECNO CAMON CX RUNNING ON ANDROID 7.0 NOUGAT

• STEP 1: When done with all the requirements above, now you can copy SuperSU.zip you downloaded earlier to both the phone’s & SD card storage.
• STEP 2: Connect the phone to the PC via USB cord while switched On and boot it into Fastboot (as instructed in the Bootloader unlock guide; don't forget to re-enable OEM unlocking and USB Debugging).
• STEP 3: When the phone enters Fastboot, load the TWRP / Philzrecovery to the phone by typing the command below then pressing Enter

    fastboot boot recovery.img

• STEP 4: The phone should automatically boot into TWRP / Philz recovery mode (depending on which you flashed) and do a full backup by tapping Backup (Recommended) then proceed with the guide once done.
• STEP 5: In TWRP, if you get a prompt asking you to swipe to allow modification of the System partition, tap KEEP READ ONLY.
• STEP 6: If TWRP / Philz offers to root the phone, select NO
• STEP 7: In TWRP / Philz recovery, tap Install.
• STEP 8: Locate and select theSuperSU.zip file on your SD card and Swipe to confirm flashing ofSuperSU.zip. Wait till flashing is complete...
• STEP 9: Reboot your phone normally after that and use Root checker app to confirm your rooting.
