Facebook Fined £110 Million By European Commission For Wrong Information/Lying

The social media giant has been fined £110 million which is about $122 million by the European Commission. The fine came as a result of the misinformation of the combination of Facebook with Whatsapp by the Facebook in the year 2014. The fine can't be escaped, it and must be paid.

Do you recall that not too long, precisely in the Year 2016 that Facebook announced to its users through the change of Terms and Conditions about linking of WhatsApp and Facebook platform together? The EC (European Commission) disputed the possibility of this claim that such feature would not be available in the future but Facebook said it would be which is a form of deception . This misleading action falls to EU Merger Regulation that companies are required to provide correct information

Facebook had ensured that The possibility of matching accounts was already available and Facebook staffs were aware of this possibility but they decided to merge it in a wrong way and also, the £110M fine is calculated 1% of the collected turnover of both companies.
